Meet Our Doctors
Kevin L. Henne O.D.
Dr. Henne has called Winter Haven home since 1964. He attended area schools including Brigham, and Denison. Dr. Henne dual enrolled at Polk Community College while attending his senior year at Winter Haven High School. He was able to win the Polk County High School Golf Championship and Lake Region Golf Championship during his senior year. He then went on to the University of South Florida in Tampa to study biological sciences. After that, he studied for his Doctor of Optometry at Indiana University in Bloomington Indiana. During his training, he spent time at the Indiana University Eye Clinic in Indianapolis, the Indiana University Contact Lens Research Clinic, and the Case Western Reserve University Veterans Administration Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
He then returned to his hometown of Winter Haven and has been in private practice since 1981. His hobbies include boating, water skiing, fishing, and reading. He tries to stay in good physical shape and has been sighted at Gold’s gym near Cypress Gardens. He believes in maintaining the body, the mind, and the soul. He has been involved in many local organizations, including the Winter Haven Leadership Group III, the Cypress Gardens Lions Club, the American Water Ski Association, and Redeemer Presbyterian Church. He is actively involved in the Lake Region Optometric Society, the Florida Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and the Traviss Vocational Technical Center Eye Clinic.
Kendall Henne Beissinger O.D.
Dr. Kendall Beissinger was born and raised in Winter Haven, FL. She is a second-generation optometrist, and she is happy to continue providing quality eye care for the great patients of Central Florida. She graduated from Lake Region High and attended Florida State University where she graduated with a degree in Biology. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry from NOVA Southeastern University, where she graduated with Honors. She was also a part of the academic society, Beta Sigma Kappa. She completed her clinical rotations at DORN VA hospital in Columbia, SC, and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. She has completed training in specialty contact lenses, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, dry eye, ocular disease, and is certified in myopia control contact lenses. She examines patients of all ages from infants to seniors. When she is not at the office working, you can find her spending time with her husband, Ryan Beissinger, and their three children, Tommy, Baron and Skylar. She enjoys fishing, swivel skiing, and anything outdoors.
